Our team

Dr Valéria Kheir graduated in medicine from the University of Geneva and pursued her specialisation in ophthalmology at the Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital, the ophthalmology department of the CHUV. She obtained her FMH certification in ophthalmology there before becoming a chief resident in Geneva and further training in ophthalmic surgery.

After completing her 18-month surgical training in Canada, where she specialised further in glaucoma, she obtained her FMH certification in ophthalmic surgery. She performs glaucoma and cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and minor eyelid lesion procedures.

She also has a passion for paediatric ophthalmology and works closely with her orthoptist to provide dedicated and thorough care for children. Dr Kheir has a particularly natural and easy rapport with young patients.

Since 2023, Dr Valéria Kheir has taken over Dr Petrovic’s practice, where she cares for her patients with kindness, respect, and dedication. She welcomes all new patients and handles all emergencies.

After her medical studies in Coimbra, Dr. Maria Inês Rodrigues continued her specialization in ophthalmology and ophthalmosurgery in Lisbon, Luanda, Prévessin and Geneva, with a subspecialization in cataract surgery and implanto-refractive surgery.

She founded the Eye Do It association, which organizes humanitarian missions to improve visual health in disadvantaged regions.

Since July 2024, she has joined Dr. Kheir's team at her office in Cornavin, providing care with professionalism and kindness.

Graduated from Université Paris-Saclay, Aurélien de Lagane has developed extensive expertise in optometry and visual health.

With two years of experience in ophthalmology practices in Belgium and Luxembourg, he has mastered vision analysis and the management of visual disorders.

His expertise includes vision measurement as well as the fitting and follow-up of both standard and specialty contact lenses.

Aurélien de Lagane is a dedicated professional, constantly seeking solutions to enhance the comfort and visual health of his patients.

Léa Martinez completed her orthoptist training at the Toulouse medical school. For 4 years, she worked in a renowned ophthalmology practice in Toulouse.

Since 2023, she has joined the team of Dr. Kheir in his ophthalmology practice in Geneva.

Léa Martinez is a conscientious and dedicated professional who has very good experience in the diagnosis and treatment of vision disorders in children/adults, both strabologically and neurovisually. She is therefore qualified to treat amblyopia problems and double vision problems in children/adults.

Lucie Warcoin holds a dual role within the practice. As a medical secretary, she ensures smooth management of administrative tasks and meticulous follow-up of appointments, guaranteeing efficient organization.

At the same time, she uses her creativity to energize communication on social media, enhancing visibility and strengthening the connection with patients.

Organized, cheerful, and vibrant, Lucie helps create a welcoming and professional environment on a daily basis.

Wiame Belgourchia trained as a medical secretary in 2022

Since 2023, she has joined the team of Dr. Kheir within his ophthalmology practice, thus ensuring attentive care for each patient.

Her qualities of empathy and organization are an asset for welcoming and caring for patients at the office.

Diplômée en médecine de l’Université de Genève, la Dre Valéria Kheir a effectué sa spécialisation en ophtalmologie à l’Hôpital Jules-Gonin, au CHUV, où elle a obtenu son FMH en ophtalmologie. Elle a ensuite occupé le poste de cheffe de clinique à Genève, se formant également en ophtalmochirurgie.

Après une formation chirurgicale de 18 mois au Canada, où elle s’est spécialisée en glaucome, elle a obtenu son FMH en ophtalmochirurgie. Elle intervient notamment pour la chirurgie des glaucomes, des cataractes, la chirurgie réfractive et les petites lésions palpébrales. Passionnée par l’ophtalmopédiatrie, elle collabore étroitement avec son orthoptiste pour assurer un suivi de qualité des enfants. La Dre Kheir est particulièrement appréciée pour son approche douce et son aisance avec les plus jeunes.

Depuis 2023, elle a repris le cabinet du Dr Petrovic, où elle continue de recevoir ses patients avec bienveillance, respect et professionnalisme. Elle accepte les nouveaux patients ainsi que les urgences.

La Dre Maria Inês Rodrigues a poursuivi sa formation en ophtalmologie après ses études à Coimbra, en se spécialisant dans la chirurgie de la cataracte et la chirurgie implanto-réfractive, avec des formations à Lisbonne, Luanda, Prévessin et Genève.

Elle a fondé l’association Eye Do It, qui organise des missions humanitaires visant à améliorer la santé visuelle dans les régions défavorisées.

Après deux années d’expérience en cabinet d’ophtalmologie en Belgique et au Luxembourg, il a développé des compétences pointues dans l’analyse de la vision et la prise en charge des troubles visuels.

Son domaine d’expertise inclut la mesure de la vision et l’adaptation des lentilles de contact, qu’il s’agisse de modèles classiques (souples ou rigides) ou de solutions plus spécialisées, comme l’orthokératologie et les lentilles sclérales.

Aurélien de Lagane est un professionnel consciencieux, engagé à offrir les meilleures solutions pour améliorer le confort et la santé visuelle de ses patients.

Diplômée en orthoptie de la faculté de Toulouse, Léa Martinez a acquis une solide expérience en travaillant pendant quatre ans dans un cabinet d’ophtalmologie reconnu à Toulouse.

Depuis 2023 elle fait partie de l’équipe de la Dre Kheir à Genève, où elle met ses compétences au service du diagnostic et du traitement des troubles visuels, tant chez les enfants que les adultes.

Spécialisée dans le dépistage et le suivi des troubles oculomoteurs, elle traite notamment l’amblyopie, le strabisme ou encore les cas plus complexes de diplopie avec l’adaptation de prismes.

Elle effectue également la rééducation orthoptique et notamment neuro-visuelle chez les enfants avec des difficultés d’apprentissage.

Léa est une professionnelle attentive et dévouée, offrant des soins personnalisés à chaque patient.

Avec une expérience variée et une polyvalence acquise au fil des années, elle a endossé plusieurs rôles dans des domaines complémentaires.

Cette diversité lui permet aujourd’hui d’assumer pleinement son rôle de manager, en contribuant activement au développement du cabinet et en apportant un soutien essentiel au personnel.

Engagée et dynamique, elle veille à optimiser l’organisation, fluidifier les échanges et offrir un accompagnement de qualité pour garantir le bon fonctionnement et l’amélioration du cabinet.

Tout cela dans un seul but : assurer un cadre de travail agréable, où chaque membre de l’équipe se sent bien, car un environnement harmonieux se reflète directement sur l’expérience des patients, qui le ressentiront dès leur arrivée.

Diplômée en 2022 d’une formation de secrétaire médicale, Wiame Belgourchia a rejoint l’équipe de la Dre Kheir en 2023.

Elle occupe un rôle essentiel dans l’accueil et la prise en charge des patients, veillant à leur offrir une expérience agréable et un service de qualité.

Grâce à ses qualités d’empathie et son sens de l’organisation, Wiame assure un accompagnement personnalisé pour chaque patient, contribuant à leur bien-être et à une prise en charge optimale.
